Job 2:10

"...Should we take only good things from God and not trouble?..."

Recently I had been experiencing some hard times. I started reading through Job because I knew Job was a great example of how to handle the toughest of tough times. In this book, we see that God allows people to experience hard times. Now I don't know about you, but those times aren't something I usually look forward to. And in the middle of hard times, I sometimes have found myself wondering where God is. But Job had an awesome revelation that he states in chapter two, "Should we take only good things from God and not trouble?" This caught my attention. I reflected on my life and saw that it was in the hard times that I had major growth with God and that my character became stronger and more Godly.

Now, in the mist of those hard times I didn't realize what was happening, but in hindsight, it was so clear. If I hadn't have gone through tough times, I wouldn't have grown closer to God. So this is just an encouragement to all of you who are experiencing something you feel you just can't handle right now, follow Job's example and don’t blame God, but instead accept the hard times and take the opportunity to know God better.

It has been some time since I last read a Zjam Bible text, and as usual it never fails to entice me into deep thoughts. This time, not so much as for me, more for my enquiring friends. I have a lot of questions about what such and such things happened to others, or worse off, happened to them. I hope this would help them comprehend a little. Though I dare say that if those dark moments were ever passed by those who have yet to come to know God, those are dark moments indeed.

My life for Christ

Yes, this blog is alive again! Finally, I decided that a sermon preached without any life examples in it, well, those sermons are just dead. That's why my pastors' sermons are so powerful; they share their life stories in them! SO that's just what I'm going to do. Enjoy reading and may the Word speak to you as well! ;)
